I want to buy a laptop and camcorder for use while in Israel as well as the US.
Are there prticular makes and models I should consider?
Also, what is the best transformer and adapter kits?

You can buy any laptop or camcorder you want, as long as it meets your needs and has a 220/120 power converter built in with an adaptable/interchangeable plugin. That comes with most new laptops, though I know nothing of camcorders. I do hope you are looking for a digital camera or digital video camera instead of an old camcorder.
As for best transformers and adapters. I have no “best”. I buy what’s cheap in adapters as they tend to be mostly the same - lasting as long as they last. I’d buy a transformer in Israel. They are expensive and heavy, so why pay for the weight for shipping or overload your luggage and possibly pay for luggage fees.
But you don’t need them if what you will be using has an auto-switching transformer built in.
