The following is the obituary of Emma Beatrice (Primley) Knapp, wife of James Knapp Jr., and mother of Allen, Lloyd, Robert, Wayne, Nora, Maurice Glenn, Clayton, and Melvin. She was born in Morgan, Onconto County, Wisconsin, daughter of Robert and Kathryn (Smith) Primley. She moved her family from Wisconsin to the Pacific Northwest in the 1930s and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in the 1940s.

Emma B. Knapp, 74, of 115 Hill Street, Monroe, died in Everett Friday morning following an extended illness.
Born in Wisconsin March 19, 1886, she came to Monroe from that state in 1930. She was employed at Monroe General Hospital for many years. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Monroe.
Surviving are five sons, Allen J. of Sutherlin, Ore., Lloyd D. of Mattawa, Wash., Robert F. of Lake Stevens, Wayne P. of Seattle and Maurice G. Knapp of Mountlake Terrace; a daughter, Mrs. Nora Mae Anderson of Marysville; two brothers, Schuyler Primley of Conover, Wis., and Seeley Primley of Green Bay, Wis.,; 22 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 pm at Purdy and Kerr Funeral Home, Monroe, the revs. Woodrow Morgan of Marysville and Joseph Shafer of Monroe officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery (Monroe).
