Taking our camera on the road hasn’t been the easiest, and maybe not even the wisest thing we’ve ever done, but it is one of the most important things we’ve ever done with our lives. It took a lot of courage, risk, tons of hutzpah, and even some stupidity - or should I be more polite and admit to simple ignorance? We must have done something right as we are still here and still taking such risks every day. We have a lot of stories about our adventures to share with you about our life of traveling on the road full-time for over 10 years, including five years spent in Israel.
We are putting together a book about our travels, a collection of our journals from life on the road, in our book, Home Is Where Lorelle Is. We also share a lot of our experiences and lessons about life on the road in our book, Taking Your Camera on the Road.

This has been an [...]

Meeting New Family in Michigan
I'll be writing more about this soon, but I'm thrilled that my father and I were able to connect up with new family members in Michigan. Actually, they are "old" family members as they have always been there, but we're just learning about them now.
They are the decendents of the Farlin family which married into [...]
Heading North To Michigan Then Seattle
My father's stay here in Mobile, Alabama, has long past its expiration date and we're planning to head out of the Gulf Coast towards Seattle, the long way.
I'm really nervous about traveling right now as winter isn't quite over, but he wants to get home and isn't willing to wait another two weeks for safety's [...]
US Criminal Databases
While it might not be fun to find out that someone in your family or family history might be a criminal, if you need to check out information on someone, you might consider the US Criminal Databases.
JournalismNet provides a fairly comprehensive listing of most of the public US Criminal Databases with free access, or [...]
Lactose Intolerance Linked To Ancestral Environment
The things that scientist are finding that might help genealogists trace their family history! Wow. Lactose Intolerance Linked To Ancestral Environment. It seems that a new Cornell University study finds that it is primarily people "whose ancestors came from places where dairy herds could be raised safely and economically, such as in [...]
